A big congratulations from ARCEx and the Department of Geosciences at UiT to Philosophiae Doctor Amando Putra Lasabuda, who on the 26th of April 2018, successfully defended his PhD thesis titled “Cenozoic tectonosedimentary development and erosion estimates for the Barents Sea continental margin, Norwegian Arctic”. Dr. Lasabuda is the first ARCEx PhD student to graduate and represents a big milestone for the centre.
Dr. Lasabuda was supervised by Prof. Jan Sverre Lagerg, Department of Geosciences, UiT, and Assoc. Prof. Stig-Morten Knutsen, Norwegian Petroleum Directorate/UiT.
The members of the assessment committee were Dr. Edward King, Geological Survey of Canada, Prof. Alvar Braathen, Department of Geosciences, University of Oslo, and Assoc. Prof. Matthias Forwick, Department of Geosciences, UiT. The defence was lead by Assoc. Prof. Martin Rypdal, Head of Department of Mathematics and Statistics, UiT.
